Drawing Zones
Click Add Zone (top-right of the map) and pick a shape.
Shapes
| Shape | How to draw | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Circle | Click the centre, drag out the radius. | Round areas — plazas, arenas, beaches. |
| Box | Click and drag a rectangle. | Buildings, docks, rectangular lots. |
| Polygon | Click each corner point; close the shape to finish. | Irregular areas — districts, forests, coastlines. |
You can also draw a polygon by walking the boundary in-game — set the Draw Mode to In-game Walk in the Geometry section, then trace the border on foot; the points become a polygon draft.
After drawing
A new draft opens in the settings panel with default values. It is created with a unique Zone ID (used by exports and other scripts). Configure it across the 15 sections — every change auto-saves.
Editing shape & geometry
- Move — drag the zone body on the map.
- Resize — drag the handles (circle radius handle, box corners, polygon vertices).
- Redraw — the Geometry section has a Redraw button to start the shape over.
- Min Z / Max Z — height limits: the zone only applies between these Z values, so tunnels below or aircraft above are unaffected.
- Priority / Layer (1–10) — when zones overlap, the higher priority wins for single-value settings (weather, visuals, ped aggression, driving style, animals). Restrictions always stack — the strictest zone wins, for safety.
- Live Preview Style — how the boundary is drawn in-world while nearby: Colored Walls, Ground Marker, Outline Only or None.
Managing zones
From the Zones list (bottom-left):
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Teleport | Warp yourself to the zone. |
| Show / hide | Toggle its map overlay (visual only). |
| Enable / disable | An inactive zone stays saved but none of its rules apply. |
| Duplicate | Copy the zone (offset slightly) with a new ID. |
| Delete | Remove it permanently (superadmin). |
| Export / Import | Download all zones as JSON, or load a JSON file. |
Presets
In Preferences you can apply a preset (Radiation Zone, Green Zone, Gang War…) to quickly stamp a set of settings, or save the current zone as a preset for reuse. Presets are stored on the server.
Limits are enforced server-side: up to `Config.MaxZones` zones, `Config.MaxPolyPoints` polygon points, and a label length of `Config.MaxLabelLength`. Invalid shapes are rejected with a notification.
